Equity Edition

As Michiganders, it’s important to consider how to build the schools and school systems that serve all students’ needs. That includes considering where are the challenges and opportunities — and who here in Michigan and around the country is moving the needle for educational equity. We must also consider what we can do — as advocates community leaders, parents, policymakers and practitioners – to drive change for all Michigan students, particularly the most underserved.

Our blog, The Equity Edition, regularly features expert content, commentary and original analyses demonstrating what’s possible for Michigan’s schools and districts. We also regularly showcase research from across the nation to shine a spotlight on leading education states and where real progress is being made to improve student achievement and access to opportunity for all students. And we include resources for advocates to demonstrate ways we can work together to ensure every Michigan student has the opportunity to achieve at high levels.
