EdTrust–Midwest Names Dr. Kimberly D. Clarida Assistant Director of Policy and Research
Detroit, MI — EdTrust-Midwest is pleased to announce that Kimberly D. Clarida, Ph.D., has joined the organization as assistant director of policy and research. She will lead EdTrust-Midwest’s policy division to advance educational equity and opportunity for Michigan students.
Dr. Clarida brings deep experience in P-20 education policy research, coalition strategy, and data-informed advocacy. Most recently, she served as a postdoctoral researcher at Michigan State University, where she taught education policy and partnered with national and state stakeholders to translate research into actionable policy initiatives. Prior to that, Dr. Clarida worked at Every Texan (formerly the Center for Public Policy Priorities), where she led statewide coalition efforts and developed strategic policy materials, including briefs, testimony, and public-facing analysis, focused on equitable college access and affordability.
“Dr. Clarida’s strong policy expertise and coalition-building experience will bolster EdTrust-Midwest’s work to advance opportunities for all Michigan students,” said Brian Love, state director of EdTrust-Midwest. “Her commitment to translating research into practical solutions will strengthen our partnerships with communities and policymakers to deliver meaningful, equity-centered results for students.”
