Tambrelyn Quick, Ed.D.
Instructional Coach with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
Tambrelyn Quick is the instructional coach at The Education Trust-Midwest’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, working with school administrators and leadership teams to maximize efforts to improve student outcomes. Prior to working at EdTrust Midwest, Quick was the K-8 principal at Starr Detroit Academy.
Born and raised in Michigan, Quick has a genuine love for its people and especially its children. She launched her impressive career in early childhood education, advanced to elementary education and spent 13 years of her teaching career as a middle school English language arts (ELA) teacher. She has taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at the high school and adult levels, and serviced a large urban school district as a district-wide ELA Instructional Specialist. Her experiences and impact broadened as she became a county ELA consultant, executive director of teaching and learning for an urban school district, university supervisor of student teachers and a K-8 school principal.
Quick holds a bachelor’s degree from William Tyndale College, a master’s degree from Wayne State University, CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge, administrative certification from Eastern Michigan University and a doctorate of education from Pepperdine University.
